Ryan was a lot of things
But whatever hat he wore
Everybody must agree
Our Ryan he was more.
More than just another kid
He was wise beyond his years
Taking life for all it's worth
And facing every fear.
More than just an athlete
Who was out to win the race
He took the time to look around
But kept a steady pace.
More than just a caregiver
This cannot be denied
To many he was a hero
And a sweet and gentle guide.
More than just a friend of ours
His spirit was so free
We shared so much together
Built so many memories.
More than just a cousin
I'd call us friends you see
Doing things that good friends do
Wrapped by the love of family.
More than just a nephew
Our love grew stronger year by year
Stories shared of hope and dreams
Much laughter and some tears.
More than just a grandson
He was special from the start
Never had we seen a boy
With such a big and giving heart.
More than just a brother
Our relationship was rare
We didn't have to say it
But the bond was always there.
More than just our first-born son
You forever made us proud
And that is what we'll thank God for
When next our heads are bowed.
We love and Miss you Ryan!
Always, Aunt Michelle
